Rodney Lover

Rodney Lover has helped to build, market and lead two of South Western Ontario’s B2B go-to businesses, Lovers atWork Office Furniture and Belair Office Products, a commercial furniture manufacturing company. Rodney also heads the online marketing initiatives for Ontario’s leading office furniture buying group, atWork Office Furniture.

In 2006, after “spending way too much time working on web marketing” Rodney created Arrowfinger, a consulting company providing online marketing assistance to other businesses. Since then he has tackled a variety of online marketing challenges for numerous clients including travel destinations, HR firms, and business-to-consumer companies.

Facing the recession in 2008, Rodney looked for new opportunities to compliment his core business. The result was two new ventures: Clear Future Markerboards and Belair Kids Furniture . These companies attracted both local and international attention with Clear Future’s unique clear dry-erase surfaces being selected by the U.S. Military, Facebook, Apple, NBC Studios, Exxon Mobil, Fox TV’s Lie To Me, Ryan Seacrest Productions, and movies like Iron Man III – just to name a few.

Rodney is asked to speak to entrepreneurs and business leaders to share his story – one that includes highs and lows and many years in family business. At London’s Small Business Centre’s Bridges to Better Business Entrepreneur Conference, Rodney drew on his passion for business and online marketing as he shared “My Ideas atWork”, a combination of his entrepreneurial outlook and personal reflections. His inspirational story is one that weaves the orphaned beginnings of his grandfather new to Canada to his father’s retail success to a publicized bankruptcy and most recently to a successful, well-known business which works hard to bless their community.

Living in London Ontario with his wife Valerie and three children, Rodney of late has changed from a desk-bound, reluctant exerciser to an energized Dad and regular street runner. He is actively “running away from” his 40’s by shedding pounds and pursuing “an impassioned life with calm at the center”.
